Painter of landscapes, portraits, flowers and nudes, Georges Marchou studied at the Ecole Nationale
Superior of Fine Arts with Ernest Laurens, of the School of Decorative Arts in Paris, of the School of
Louvre and the Ecole Boulle.
He lived in Paris until 1930, then in Bordeaux before settling in the Nice region.
First influenced by the Nabis, he refused impressionism and adopted the bright colors of the wild animals.
He made decorations for the Casino de Nice.
He has exhibited since 1945 in Nice, Zurich, Lausanne, Geneva, Caracas, Montreal, Southampton (USA),
Stockholm...
