According to Clodion, Nymphe, her head resting on her arm and her eyes closed, lying on a lion's skin and against an overturned urn from which water gushes. This terracotta comes from the larger-than-life marble sculpture of Clodion, commissioned by Baron Besenval for the center of his bathroom in the Hôtel Bensenval, completed in 1782. 19th century, Napoleon III period
