Superb and rare pair of bookends from the art deco period by benjamin RABIER (1864-1939) famous French illustrator who mainly drew animated compositions of animals. This pair of bookends represents for one a duck accompanied by a snail and for the other a squirrel and a mole coming out of its hole. The set is presented on a black veined marble base. high quality work, in perfect condition and signed on the bronze base.
