"Nineteenth Century Maie In Solid Oak"
Magnificent 19th century cupboard Made by a craftsman around the 1850s, this superb piece of furniture is entirely in solid oak. Also called a baker's kneader, it was used to prepare bread dough in bakeries. With its characteristic inverted trapezium shape, it is placed on a base and 4 short legs which raise it to an interesting height to make it a beautiful storage unit. It shows traces of time which make all its authenticity, but it is healthy. It was completely stripped, then an anti-pest treatment was passed for prevention. The bottom has been completely redone with a solid oak top to respect the original manufacturing quality. It was voluntarily left with its original color, in order to bring a modern light line on the outside, and more brightness on the inside. However, it can be tinted like the rest, according to your wishes. The board is made of 3 boards, it has been repaired several times over the decades. It opens thanks to two steel hinges, which are also different! Molding strips go all around the front face with some gaps, and draw a triangle in its center, which makes it an absolutely unique piece of furniture!
