Oil on thick cardboard, slightly grainy, representing an abstract composition with cubist forms.
The colors are warm, letting light filter through the walls. (we imagine an urban landscape)
We no longer know how to distinguish the interior from the exterior. We guess characters, kinds of strange appearances that open the doors to an imaginary space without borders.
JC monogram lower right. (to be identified)
Dated 1949.
Condition: Good paint condition, but sold ''as is'', with its period frame from the 1950s (in very average condition).
Dimensions with frame: 53 x 35 cm.
Dimensions without: 45.7 x 27.7 cm.
