"Country Sideboard In Solid Wood"
18th century country sideboard Coming from a cabinetmaker's workshop towards the end of the 18th century, it is entirely in solid cherry. The style is quite simple, totally in the spirit of country furniture. The decoration of the front legs is reminiscent of the Renaissance style, and a pretty molding goes around the drawers and doors. I has a lot of time marks and has undergone several repairs and modifications over the decades. The rear base has been completely redone, because it was completely eaten away by xylophages!! A treatment has been applied, and wax to protect it, nothing more. A corner of a drawer is missing, there is a light day when the doors are closed, the top has been restored in places... in short, a piece of furniture rich in history, but it is perfectly stable, solid, and ready for use. centuries more!!! For the aesthetic side, the drawer handles have been replaced by modern brass handles. Inside, there are two storage spaces, separated by a thick shelf. The drawers are huge and the doors can be locked with a key and its period lock. The wood has taken on a beautiful patina over the years. - Height: 102 cm. - Width: 146 cm. - Thickness: 64 cm.
