Tapestry from the Manufacture d'Aubusson from the 17th century in wool and silk perfectly restored and lined with a canvas representing Apollo pursuing Daphne with his diligence until exhaustion. Daphne begs her father to come to her aid, he transforms her into a laurel tree to thwart Apollo. From then on, Apollo worshiped the laurel tree. This tapestry has characters on either side, one with a quiver and arrows, both carrying flowers with birds above them, tapestry probably reduced.
