A large devotional olive-wood plaque veneered with engraved mother of pearl.

Jerusalem, late 18th century.

Measures 27 x 24cm.

The plaque is engraved with a central image of Christ giving the keys of Heaven to Saint Peter, possibly after a composition by Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640).

The main image is framed by Saints, floral scrolls, swags and crosses.
