A Georgian gold ring with a trigate intaglio.

Probably Hector, Andromache and their son.

Italian, first quarter of the 19th century.

Ring size Q UK / 8 US.

The intaglio measures 2.2 x 1.9cm.

The fine heliotrope intaglio is carved with the triple portraits of a Roman centurion and his family.

The intaglio is set in a period swivelling collectors mount.

The mount is hallmarked with the crossed keys of Rome, c.1815 - 1870.
