Rare and old large candle holder / torchiere from the 19th century, quadripod, in carved / gilded wood (fir), representing scenes from Ancient mythology: applied head of philosophers, dragons leaning against them, a putto with his arm raised behind his head , surrounded by two columns with capitals, a strange character whose body is made up of a tree trunk and a winged headless bust. Total dimensions: 165 cm x 40 cm. All in good condition, see photos.
