Important Mahogany Library, England - Early Twentieth
Bookcase/two-body in solid mahogany, made in London, in the Georgian style. Topped by a very discreet cornice, this set has two large glass doors in the upper part, darkened with thin molded strips, forming diamonds. These are equipped with an original functional lock, inlaid brass entries and a key. The interior offers, on each side, four shelves with mahogany edges, adjustable every four centimetres, thanks to notches on the walls. The lower part is composed of two massive doors, also equipped with a lock, entrances and a key. Their facades are embellished with small identical strips as a reminder. Open, there are two shelves on cleats. This bookcase rests on a molded and projecting plinth, ending in cut-out feet. In addition to the quality of its essence and its storage capacity, we will also appreciate the finesse of this London work.
