Ovoid vase in blue glass, 4 feet, neck and appliques in amber glass; the four sides are decorated with polychrome enamel patterns, all different. Work by Auguste Jean (1829-1896), unsigned, like most, but characteristic. We can date this vase from the brief period during which A. Jean devoted himself to glassmaking: 1879 to 1883. Height 24 cm / Width 17.5 cm A small chip of 1 cm on one of the drips in the shape of a tear, visible only if known; see last photo.
