Pair of caned armchairs in molded and carved natural beech wood with a typical Regency decor, fancy shells on a trellis background in lambrequin cartels and clasps reassembled with acanthus leaves and foliage scrolls without forgetting quatrefoils and rosettes. The backrests are wide and flat topped with a multi-lobed winding shoulder; the seats are just as wide as they are comfortable, their armrests devoid of cuffs but animated come to rest their hands on sinuous consoles with gallant recess set back in the side crosspieces of the scalloped belt. The whole rests on a base made up of four arched legs punctuated with interior windings, joined by a crotch brace. It is worth noting the great care given to the linking elements of irreproachable quality. Balance, elegance and comfort are the most appropriate terms for this very beautiful pair of beautifully crafted cane seats. Restorations of use and old interviews, in particular certain ends of the feet. These seats have been treated, cleaned and waxed; Canings and cakes are redone. Height 98.5cm - seat height 46.5cm plus 5cm of slab. Seat width 62cm - backrest width 53cm - cuff 58cm Seat depth 51cm.
