This important lamp decorated with pineapple is in bronze and gilded brass. The original lampshade is metal with a gunmetal patina, enhanced at the top and bottom with a golden net. The axis of the lamp ends in a stylized acorn The whole rests on a square base in gilded bronze. The lamp is signed at the base: CHARLES MADE IN FRANCE In 1920 Emile Albert Charles takes over the company created by his father Ernest. In 1959 his sons, Jean and Jacques join the company together they create the "Charles" style combining classicism and modernity; In 1960, they created the superb "pineapple" lamp
