THE SUMMER OF 1924, HE GOES TO DEAUVILLE AND PAINTS WHAT HE SEE,.... THE BEACH .... THE SEA UNTIL ONE DAY WHEN A GENTLEMAN COME TO LOOK AT WHAT HE PAINTS AND ASKED HIM IF HE KNOWS HOW TO PAINT PORTRAITS.
HE INVITES HIM TO COME HOME TO PAINT THE PORTRAIT OF HIS DAUGHTER.
THIS GENTLEMAN WAS BARON ROBERT DE ROTHSCHILD;
THE PORTRAIT WAS SUCH A SUCCESS THAT THOSE INVITED TO ADMIRE HIM ASK HIM TO MAKE THAT OF THEIR WIFE OR THEIR DAUGHTER.
