Console - Empire Transformation Dressing Table, Early 19th Century
Interesting dressing table with transformation from the Empire period. Can also be used as a small console or serving table. It opens with two side drawers and a front drawer, the mirror is mobile (it remains at the desired height by a system of counterweights placed in the rear legs). The front feet are beautifully carved in the shape of a lion's paw. We find this same kind of legs on various pieces of furniture delivered by Jacob frères and Jacob Desmalter -Palais du Luxembourg, Palais de Compiègne and at the Tuileries-
