Boîte à priser ou à pilules ancienne en argent indo-persan Lionne vers 1900.

Cette boîte ovale à charnière est finement décorée en repoussé et ciselure d’une lionne stylisée entourée de rinceaux végétaux et d’un grand motif de feuille. Le fond est travaillé d’un décor pointillé, une technique décorative fréquemment rencontrée dans le travail des métaux indo-persans.

La bordure est ornée de petites touches d’émail qui créent un contraste élégant avec la surface argentée patinée.

La boîte s’ouvre sur une charnière pour révéler un intérieur simple et propre avec une base plate. Deux petits poinçons français d’importation de l’argent sont présents, indiquant que l’objet est entré en France sous contrôle officiel des métaux précieux importés.

Une charmante petite boîte en argent associant une forme européenne à un décor inspiré des traditions artistiques mogholes et persanes.
