Sculpture en marbre blanc de Carrare représentant cupidon assis. Travail finement sculpté en parfait état réalisé par l'artiste Guglielmo Pugi (1850-1915) et signé au dos.

Sujet d'après Etienne Maurice Falconet intitulé "l'amour menaçant" présenté au salon de 1757 et commandé par la marquise de Pompadour pour orner le jardin de l'hôtel d'Evreux, actuel Palais présidentiel de l'Elysee. Ce sujet qui avait été très apprécié est aujourd'hui conservé au musée du Louvre et a été reproduit plusieurs fois au XVIII et XIXeme siècle.
