(c)\u00a0 Mus\u00e9e des Augustins<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u00c0 Toulouse, ville puissante et opulente, si\u00e8ge d\u2019un immense archev\u00each\u00e9, d\u2019un parlement souverain et d\u2019une universit\u00e9 r\u00e9put\u00e9e, l\u2019essor des arts, qui accompagna le profond \u00e9lan humaniste de la Renaissance, prit des dimensions symboliques, sociologiques et politiques particuli\u00e8res, en relation avec la pr\u00e9tention s\u00e9culaire en un pass\u00e9 hors du commun. Capitale d\u2019une province de l\u2019Ancien r\u00e9gime, Toulouse s\u2019est caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e toutefois par son \u00e9loignement de la cour et par son r\u00f4le de foyer artistique majeur. Situ\u00e9e au centre d\u2019une r\u00e9gion aussi vaste que fertile, elle fut une ville dont ses<br \/>\nvoisines d\u00e9pendaient politiquement, juridiquement et \u00e9conomiquement et o\u00f9 clercs, officiers et bourgeois stimulaient un artisanat de haute qualit\u00e9.<br \/>\nLes \u00e9lites s\u2019y formaient, les affaires s\u2019y r\u00e9glaient et les arts y \u00e9taient prosp\u00e8res et recherch\u00e9s. Le mus\u00e9e a l\u2019immense privil\u00e8ge de pr\u00e9senter un vitrail de la cath\u00e9drale d\u2019Auch, l\u2019un des plus beaux ensembles de la Renaissance fran\u00e7aise profitant de sa d\u00e9pose pour restauration. Le foyer albigeois sera repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par un splendide Ecce Homo et Rodez par un fragment de cl\u00f4ture du ch\u0153ur de la cath\u00e9drale. L\u2019Epitaphe de Pierre de Saint-Andr\u00e9, sculpt\u00e9e \u00e0 G\u00eanes, permet de toucher du doigt l\u2019influence de l\u2019art italien sur la sculpture locale. Orthodoxie vitruvienne et mani\u00e9risme bellifontain sont un m\u00eame classicisme \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque.<\/p>\n<p>Cette section est \u00e9troitement li\u00e9e \u00e0 la personnalit\u00e9 de Nicolas Bachelier, personnalit\u00e9 mythifi\u00e9e auquel l\u2019exposition veut rendre une juste place, d\u00e9barrass\u00e9e de ses aspects l\u00e9gendaires. La pr\u00e9sentation de la s\u00e9rie exceptionnelle de sculptures provenant de la Dalbade constitue une occasion unique pour rouvrir le dossier des attributions \u00e0 cet artiste. Le portrait peint, le livre imprim\u00e9 mais aussi l\u2019architecture et l\u2019ing\u00e9nierie avec des plans et des \u00e9crits th\u00e9oriques ne seront pas en reste.<br \/>\nDes recettes et des secrets \u00e0 l\u2019exp\u00e9rience : The making and knowing project<br \/>\nUn programme de recherche de l\u2019universit\u00e9 Columbia de New-York fait revivre un fascinant manuscrit de recettes techniques datant de la Renaissance.<br \/>\nLe \u00ab Projet faire et savoir \u00bb rassemble depuis 2014 une \u00e9quipe d\u2019\u00e9tudiants, de praticiens (sculpteurs, restaurateurs, etc.), de chercheurs en sciences humaines et de sp\u00e9cialistes en sciences naturelles. Ensemble, ils ont retranscrit et traduit un manuscrit de la fin du XVIe si\u00e8cle \u00e9crit \u00e0 Toulouse.
