RMN-Grand Palais \/ Christophe Fouin<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Le comte de Bussy-Rabutin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cousin de Madame de S\u00e9vign\u00e9, le comte Roger de Bussy-Rabutin (1618-1693) partage avec elle le go\u00fbt de la correspondance et la critique de leurs contemporains, ce qui lui vaut d\u2019\u00eatre chass\u00e9 de la cour et renvoy\u00e9 sur ses terres pour avoir comment\u00e9 ironiquement les amours de Louis XIV et de Marie Mancini. Incorrigible, il y \u00e9crit l<em>\u2018Histoire amoureuse des Gaules<\/em>, une chronique satirique \u00e9voquant les m\u0153urs de la\u00a0 cour, qui l\u2019envoie \u00e0 la Bastille pendant seize mois, puis dans un exil quasi d\u00e9finitif.<\/p>\n<p>Il en profite alors pour am\u00e9nager l\u2019int\u00e9rieur de son ch\u00e2teau en rassemblant quelques trois cents portraits marquant ainsi son int\u00e9r\u00eat pour l\u2019histoire de France et ses grandes familles, tout en c\u00e9l\u00e9brant \u00e9galement sa propre g\u00e9n\u00e9alogie. RMN-Grand Palais \/ Christophe Fouin<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Les portraits de Versailles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Parmi ces portraits f\u00e9minins dont certains furent command\u00e9s par Louis XIV lui-m\u00eame pour ses r\u00e9sidences, et notamment Versailles, beaucoup ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par les cousins Henri et Charles Beaubrun, talentueux portraitistes tr\u00e8s en vogue au d\u00e9but du r\u00e8gne.
