Du laboratoire des couleurs de S\u00e8vres aux couleurs dans l\u2019art\u00a0!<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Exp\u00e9rience de la couleur aborde la question fondamentale de la perception des couleurs par les artistes, sous un angle essentiellement sensoriel. Source de plaisir, symbole de pouvoir, catalyseur de m\u00e9moire, la couleur est pour l\u2019artiste un outil puissant qui affecte nos \u00e9motions, bien au-del\u00e0 de nos pens\u00e9es. Au laboratoire de la Manufacture de S\u00e8vres, mille et une couleurs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9es depuis 1740. Elles sont le point de d\u00e9part de l\u2019exposition qui en d\u00e9voile les secrets pour la premi\u00e8re fois. De l\u2019alchimie \u00e0 la chimie, l\u2019inventivit\u00e9 de la palette de S\u00e8vres et de ses couleurs flamboyantes a r\u00e9volutionn\u00e9 le \u00ab\u00a0bon go\u00fbt\u00a0\u00bb dans le domaine des arts d\u00e9coratifs. Bleu c\u00e9leste, bleu de S\u00e8vres, rose Pompadour\u2026 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019orange Sottsass ou le vert Hyber sont \u00e9labor\u00e9s pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande des artistes. Il l\u2019\u00e9tend tr\u00e8s largement \u00e0 la c\u00e9ramique internationale et aux exp\u00e9rimentations confront\u00e9es \u00e0 d\u2019autres domaines de l\u2019art (peinture, arts graphiques, design, verre, textile, photographie cosm\u00e9tique, gastronomie). Elles sont majoritairement issues des collections du Mus\u00e9e national de la c\u00e9ramique de S\u00e8vres et de pr\u00eats exceptionnels de grandes collections publiques,<br \/>\nen particulier du Centre Pompidou (une cinquantaine d\u2019\u0153uvres) des Arts D\u00e9coratifs, du Centre national des Arts plastiques, du Mobilier National et du CIRVA. Des installations sp\u00e9cifiques, \u0153uvres r\u00e9centes de grands c\u00e9ramistes-sculpteurs ou potiers contemporains, fran\u00e7ais et internationaux, de diff\u00e9rentes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations et styles expos\u00e9es au sein des collections permanentes au premier et second \u00e9tage le compl\u00e8tent.<\/p>\n<p>La question fondamentale de la perception des couleurs par les artistes, plasticiens, designers et c\u00e9ramistes est abord\u00e9e dans l\u2019exposition sous un angle essentiellement sensoriel, le parcours s\u2019en fait l\u2019\u00e9cho.<\/p>\n<p>Le c\u0153ur de l\u2019exposition se concentre sur une vision transversale des nuanciers de S\u00e8vres : une exceptionnelle vari\u00e9t\u00e9 des palettes \u00e9labor\u00e9es au service de la porcelaine et du gr\u00e8s de S\u00e8vres, depuis 1740 jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 nos jours. Ils se sont empar\u00e9s de cette question complexe de la couleur, en focalisant leurs recherches autour de la texture des \u00e9maux et d\u2019une r\u00e9interpr\u00e9tation moderne des \u00abanciens\u00bb, ou bien au contraire en innovant de fa\u00e7on iconoclaste ( rouges \u00absang de b\u0153uf\u00bb d\u2019Ernest Chaplet ou de Pierre-Adrien Dalpayrat, les couvertes \u00abnuag\u00e9es\u00bb d\u2019Emile Decoeur inspir\u00e9es des gr\u00e8s Song chinois, les bleus \u00ab\u00e9gyptiens\u00bb d\u2019Edmond Lachenal et de Felix Massoul, ceux de Th\u00e9odore Deck influenc\u00e9s \u00e9galement par les couleurs de la Turquie Iznik, les lustres m\u00e9talliques de Cl\u00e9ment Massier repris de la tradition musulmane et espagnole&#8230; )<\/p>\n<p>Les focus th\u00e9matiques, d\u2019approches instinctives ou savantes donnent l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de confronter la couleur sur c\u00e9ramique \u00e0 d\u2019autres domaines de l\u2019art.
