La grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 des feuilles s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es illustre la multiplicit\u00e9 de leur fonction dans le processus de cr\u00e9ation : esquisse, \u00e9tude de figure ou de d\u00e9tail, carton, modello pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 au commanditaire, copie de statue antique ou d\u2019\u0153uvre de ma\u00eetre, dessin destin\u00e9 \u00e0 la gravure, etc. La plupart sont pr\u00e9paratoires \u00e0 des tableaux ou des fresques, voire \u00e0 des sculptures, et permettent de suivre les h\u00e9sitations, les r\u00e9flexions ou les intuitions g\u00e9niales des artistes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure Vasari, dans l\u2019\u00e9tude du dessin italien de la Renaissance, l\u2019exposition part des propositions formalistes d\u2019Italie du Nord o\u00f9 l\u2019architecture et le portrait connaissent un brillant essor, \u00e0 la faveur des guerres d\u2019Italie et des \u00e9changes artistiques qui en d\u00e9coulent. Elle passe \u00e0 Venise, cit\u00e9 qui demeure la plus riche et la plus puissante de la p\u00e9ninsule, mais aussi \u00e9minent centre humaniste o\u00f9 Andrea Mantegna, Giovanni Bellini, Titien, V\u00e9ron\u00e8se, le Tintoret, ou encore Domenico Campagnola et le Pordenone sont les acteurs d\u2019un \u00e2ge d\u2019or o\u00f9 le dessin tient un r\u00f4le d\u00e9terminant.<\/p>\n<p><strong>L\u2019\u00c9milie : Ferrare, Bologne et Parme.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La gr\u00e2ce du Parmesan L\u2019\u00e9cole v\u00e9nitienne est perm\u00e9able aux grands centres artistiques de l\u2019\u00c9milie. Les productions classiques de Bologne, influenc\u00e9es par Rapha\u00ebl, les importantes commandes ferraraises des ducs d\u2019Este marquent le pas devant l\u2019\u00e9mergence de Parme. Leur le\u00e7on y est durable et de grands ma\u00eetres, tel que Fra Bartolomeo, chef de file de l\u2019\u00e9cole florentine apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9part de Rapha\u00ebl, ou Andrea del Sarto, leur doivent beaucoup. Michel-Ange est l\u2019objet d\u2019une v\u00e9ritable fascination de la part de ses contemporains, notamment de plusieurs sculpteurs (Baccio Bandinelli, Giovanni Bandini, Raffaello da Montelupo) qui
