Certains&gt;d&rsquo;entre eux n&rsquo;ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s \u00e0 Paris depuis plusieurs d\u00e9cennies tels que le portrait de Madame Charpentier etses enfants de Renoir (New York, The Metropolitan Museum of Art) ou Nana de Manet (Hambourg, Hamburger Kunsthalle) qui avait figur\u00e9 \u00e0 la r\u00e9trospective Manet en 1983 (Galeries nationales du Grand Palais) ou encore La Logede Renoir du Courtauld Institute de Londres.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #ff0000\">P<\/span>our mieux appr\u00e9hender l&rsquo;approche des impressionnistes, feront contrepoint des oeuvres de leurs contemporains -Tissot ou Stevens par exemple &#8211; davantage pr\u00e9occup\u00e9s par la repr\u00e9sentation de la Parisienne et de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9\u00e9l\u00e9gante du Second Empire et des d\u00e9buts de la Troisi\u00e8me R\u00e9publique. Mais la confrontation avec la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 estbeaucoup plus instructive. Tous ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments textiles appartiennent auxcollections publiques et priv\u00e9es fran\u00e7aises. L\u2019Op\u00e9ra, les th\u00e9\u00e2tres, les salles de concert, les cabarets, les caf\u00e9s ne d\u00e9semplissent pas. Dans la bonne soci\u00e9t\u00e9, les femmes \u00e9l\u00e9gantes se piquent d\u2019avoir un salon et rev\u00eatent jusqu\u2019\u00e0 six toilettes diff\u00e9rentes par jour, du d\u00e9shabill\u00e9 du matin jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la robe de gala, en passant par toute la gamme des robes d\u2019int\u00e9rieur et des robes de soir\u00e9e. Mais \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la grande bourgeoisie traditionnelle, de nouvelles classes sociales apparaissent, moyenne et petite bourgeoisie qui cherchent \u00e0 profiter des techniques modernes et des progr\u00e8s de l\u2019ndustrialisation.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #ff0000\">G<\/span>r\u00e2ce \u00e0 une presse de plus en plus abondante, des femmes de milieu modeste s\u2019efforcent de copier \u00e0 bas prix les modes de la haute soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Les nombreuses publications qui leur sont destin\u00e9es contiennent tout ce qui peut les int\u00e9resser, chroniques de la vie mondaine qui fait r\u00eaver, conseils d\u2019\u00e9conomie domestique, principes de savoir-vivre mais aussi des conseils ou des mod\u00e8les de couture et parfois m\u00eame quelques patrons \u00e0 recopier ou \u00e0 commander au journal.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #ff0000\">U<\/span>ne nouvelle figure entre en sc\u00e8ne. Repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par les impressionnistes, sous l\u2019appellation de \u201cLa Parisienne\u201d, elle transcende les origines sociales. La bottine est rarement d\u00e9couverte, et se laisse plut\u00f4t deviner sous la jupe.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;color: #ff0000\"> L<\/span>a voilette dissimule le visage et fait ressortir la puret\u00e9 du teint. L\u2019\u00e9ventail permet d\u2019avoir les mains joliment occup\u00e9es. L\u2019ombrelle prot\u00e8ge du soleil et participe au jeu de la s\u00e9duction qui consiste \u00e0 la fois \u00e0 se cacher et \u00e0 se montrer. Le chapeau est une pi\u00e8ce essentielle de la toilette puisque les cheveux sont toujours dissimul\u00e9s et r\u00e9serv\u00e9s \u00e0 la vie intime.
