Au tournant du XVI\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, la production \u00e9volue : elle va prendre une dimension particuli\u00e8re en se faisant l\u2019\u00e9cho des pr\u00e9occupations humanistes. Sur les pr\u00e9cieuses fa\u00efences apparaissent alors figures humaines et sujets narratifs, sublim\u00e9s par l\u2019intensit\u00e9 des couleurs et l\u2019\u00e9clat du lustre.
