Les mod\u00e8les de costumes conserv\u00e9s \u00e0 Chantilly illustrent \u00e0 la fois ceux de son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur Henri Gissey (Ballet des Arts, 1663) et ceux qu\u2019il cr\u00e9a \u00e0 partir de 1673 pour les spectacles d\u2019op\u00e9ra donn\u00e9s \u00e0 Paris, \u00e0 Versailles et \u00e0 Saint-Germain-en-Laye.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">La richesse, la vari\u00e9t\u00e9, la fantaisie et l\u2019extr\u00eame raffinement de cet ensemble illustrent en effet ce qui devient pendant cette \u00e9poque, dans le domaine des spectacles, une v\u00e9ritable sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 fran\u00e7aise : celle du costume de ballet, de carrousel et d\u2019op\u00e9ra.
