{"id":2582,"date":"2014-11-23T13:27:43","date_gmt":"2014-11-23T12:27:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.proantic.com\/magazine\/?p=2582"},"modified":"2017-12-18T08:49:48","modified_gmt":"2017-12-18T07:49:48","slug":"ornements-xve-xviiie-siecles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.proantic.com\/magazine\/ornements-xve-xviiie-siecles\/","title":{"rendered":"Ornements &#8211; XVe-XVIIIe si\u00e8cles Chefs-d&rsquo;oeuvre de la collection Jacques Doucet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>La Biblioth\u00e8que de l\u2019Institut national d\u2019histoire de l\u2019art (INHA), h\u00e9riti\u00e8re de la Biblioth\u00e8que d\u2019art et d\u2019arch\u00e9ologie cr\u00e9\u00e9e par le couturier Jacques Doucet (1853-1929) \u00e0 partir de 1908, est aujourd\u2019hui riche de plus de 25 000 estampes d&rsquo;ornement, r\u00e9unies en pr\u00e8s de 700 volumes.<\/strong> Son fonds\u00a0 d&rsquo;estampes couvre la production, tant fran\u00e7aise qu\u2019italienne ou allemande, du XVI si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Sources importantes pour les historiens des arts d\u00e9coratifs, de l&rsquo;architecture, de l&rsquo;estampe, ces \u0153uvres ont fait l\u2019objet d\u2019un catalogage informatis\u00e9 et d&rsquo;une num\u00e9risation, dans le cadre du programme \u00abHistoire de l&rsquo;ornement\u00bb de l&rsquo;INHA. L\u2019exposition, organis\u00e9e dans la salle Roberto Longhi de la Galerie Colbert jusqu&rsquo;au 31 d\u00e9cembre 2014, correspond \u00e0 l\u2019ach\u00e8vement de ce programme et \u00e0 la parution d\u2019un livre consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 la collection d\u2019estampes d\u2019ornement de l\u2019INHA, publi\u00e9 en co\u00e9dition par Mare et Martin et l\u2019INHA.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 travers la pr\u00e9sentation d\u2019une cinquantaine d\u2019estampes, o\u00f9 se d\u00e9ploie une multiplicit\u00e9 de motifs (rinceaux, frises, fleurs, volutes, grotesques, troph\u00e9es, cuirs&#8230;), l\u2019exposition permet d\u2019\u00e9clairer les fonctions de l\u2019estampe d\u2019ornement, mais aussi le contexte de sa production et de sa diffusion, et enfin, son statut d\u2019objet d\u2019\u00e9tude et de collection. Sont particuli\u00e8rement mis en valeur les points forts de la collection Doucet, telles les estampes allemandes des XVI<sup>e<\/sup>-XVII<sup>e<\/sup>si\u00e8cles (Martin Schongauer, Virgil Solis, Albrecht D\u00fcrer), les gravures d\u2019orf\u00e8vres \u00abcosses de pois\u00bb du premier XVII<sup>e<\/sup>si\u00e8cle (Jean Toutin), mais aussi les estampes fran\u00e7aises du XVIII<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup>si\u00e8cle repr\u00e9sentant rocailles et chinoiseries (Pillement, Huquier), ainsi que leurs copies europ\u00e9ennes. Des objets d\u2019art permettent de restituer la place de l\u2019estampe au sein du processus de cr\u00e9ation.
