Dantec<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Pour la premi\u00e8re fois depuis 1828, cette collection de seize mod\u00e8les, chefs-d&rsquo;oeuvre des charpentiers des arsenaux, quitte les salles du mus\u00e9e de la Marine pour retrouver, dans son int\u00e9gralit\u00e9, le lieu pour lequel elle avait initialement \u00e9t\u00e9 command\u00e9e: la galerie des Cotelle du Grand Trianon. Est-ce la raison pour laquelle l\u2019Empereur souhaita rassembler la collection de\u00a0mod\u00e8les dans un palais de campagne relativement isol\u00e9 o\u00f9 il pouvait \u00e9tudier \u00e0 loisir les capacit\u00e9s de ses\u00a0navires et relancer son projet d\u2019invasion ? Les arsenaux\u00a0d\u2019Anvers et de Rochefort furent \u00e9galement mis \u00e0 contribution. Alors qu\u2019on\u00a0aurait pu croire cette collection simple \u00e0 constituer, le projet se poursuivit\u00a0apr\u00e8s l\u2019Empire, sous la Restauration. Dantec<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ce fut le cas pour le mod\u00e8le de l\u2019Oc\u00e9an, par\u00a0exemple, un vaisseau \u00e0 trois ponts mis en service en 1790 sous le nom d\u2019\u00c9tats-de-Bourgogne, et\u00a0consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le \u00ab chef-d\u2019\u0153uvre de San\u00e9 \u00bb. Dix ans plus tard, en 1828, la collection quitta le petit palais de Trianon pour gagner ce\u00a0nouveau mus\u00e9e de la Marine, un temps appel\u00e9 \u00ab mus\u00e9e Dauphin \u00bb (1828-1830) et install\u00e9 au Palais de\u00a0Chaillot depuis 1943.
