Plus vrais que nature, ils sont saisis en plein mouvement dans des sc\u00e8nes color\u00e9es et raffin\u00e9es. Humanis\u00e9s, ils servent le go\u00fbt du peintre pour le comique et la satire, car Ky\u00f4sai est un remarquable observateur des ridicules de ses contemporains et n&rsquo;h\u00e9site pas \u00e0 caricaturer les puissants, ce qui lui valut de conna\u00eetre la prison. Ses animaux acrobates, qui dansent ou vont \u00e0 la noce, se m\u00e9tamorphosent parfois jusqu&rsquo;au fantastique dans des farandoles endiabl\u00e9es.
