En France, on lui doit, entre autres, le d\u00e9cor du pavillon des Muses \u00e0 Neuilly pour le po\u00e8te Robert de Montesquiou en 1899, et l\u2019h\u00f4tel particulier du couturier Jacques Doucet en 1907. Sculpt\u00e9s par Deschamps, de robustes pieds d\u2019aub\u00e9pine constituent les bases des vitrines et du mobilier; les boiseries encadrent la tenture brod\u00e9e d\u2019aub\u00e9pines et la peinture command\u00e9e au peintre Albert Besnard, L\u2019\u00cele heureuse, inspir\u00e9e de L\u2019Embarquement pour Cyth\u00e8re de Watteau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Cet ensemble \u2013 remont\u00e9 par H\u0153ntschel dans le pavillon fran\u00e7ais de l\u2019Exposition internationale universelle de Saint-Louis, en 1904 \u2013 fut install\u00e9 en 1905, apr\u00e8s quelques modifications, au pavillon de Marsan o\u00f9 le public peut encore le voir. Le d\u00e9corateur a adapt\u00e9 le plan carr\u00e9 initial \u00e0 la forme rectangulaire de la salle et transform\u00e9 trois vitrines d\u2019angle en vitrines murales. Il a d\u00fb ajouter deux vitrines plus petites, une vitrine d\u2019angle ayant entre-temps \u00e9t\u00e9 c\u00e9d\u00e9e au Museum f\u00fcr Kunst und Gewerbe de Hambourg. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cet ensemble, rare survivant de la d\u00e9coration con\u00e7ue pour l\u2019Exposition de 1900, est un des fleurons du Mus\u00e9e des Arts D\u00e9coratifs et t\u00e9moigne d\u2019une brillante incursion de Georges H\u0153ntschel dans l\u2019Art nouveau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9.
