The Galerie Mermoz has been dedicated to pre-Columbian Mesoamerican and South American arts since 1970. Ever since, it is internationally acknowledged as one of the top reference in this field.
It successfully managed to bring out the richness of civilizations such as the Olmec (900 – 600 B.C.), Mezcala (350 – 100 B.C.), Colima(100 B.C.– A.D. 250), Maya (450 – 750 A.D) as well as cultures from Peru (Nazca, Mochica, Chimu…) and Costa Rica.
Its owner, Santo Micali, pioneer and expert for 40 years, shares his love for Pre-Columbian Art by presenting his collection essentially composed of quality pieces. He has contributed to the elaboration of major American and European art collections, and has also been greatly solicited by famous museums and private collectors.
