"Napoleon At The Isle Of Elba"
Napoleon on the Island of Elba. 1849. Embroidered picture in an oval of 43.5 x 25 cm, under glass, in a varnished pitch pine frame underlined with black lines. Frame size 58.2 x 39.4 cm. Amazing needlework embroidery (Napoleon, vegetation, ships) complemented by a composition of folded fabrics of different textures and colors to compose the side rock masses. The work is signed "Coste 1849".
