"boat On The Seine" Pierre Antoine Cluzeau flag

Object description :

""boat On The Seine" Pierre Antoine Cluzeau"
Pierre Antoine Marie CLUZEAU was born in 1884 in Saint-Mandé. He died in 1963 in Saint-Maur. He was a pupil of Luc-Olivier Merson and Gustave Surand at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. From 1920, he exhibited his paintings at the Salon des Indépendants and his engravings, etchings and drypoints at the Salon des Artistes Français where he obtained an honorable mention. He mainly treated the landscapes of old Paris and Ile de France. With this charming painting which represents the Courthouse and the Pont au Change at sunset, the painter has captured the image of the moment. The purple tones of the facades contrast with the flamboyant sky tinged with yellows and pinks. In the foreground, a small tug spitting its smoke is about to engage under the bridge. Pierre-Antoine Cluzeau appears in the "Bénézit". A retrospective exhibition was dedicated to him at the Saint-Maur museum in 1995. This work is highlighted by a beautiful gilded wooden frame in the Louis XV style. The dimensions of the painting with the frame are 33 cm X 29 cm. Packaging, postage and insurance costs for Colissimo are 20 € for France and 30 € for the European Union. For the rest of the world, contact me.
