HRH Marie d'Orléans Duchess Alexander of Württemberg lithographed by Pierre Louis Henri Grévedon (1776-1860) in 1844 after Franz Xaver Winterhalter (1805-1873).
Marie d'Orléans (1813-1839) is the second daughter of the Duke of Orléans in exile Louis-Philippe (1773-1850) and his wife Marie-Amélie de Bourbon (1782-1866) princess of Deux-Siciles. She married in 1837 Alexandre de Wurtemberg (1804-1881) with whom she had a son the Duke Philippe de Wurtemberg shown in our etching in her arms. She was a renowned romantic sculptor : the Jane of Arc represented on the background right of this etching is one of her works, today kept in the Château de Versailles
