An inkwell, a charming utilitarian object from the Louis XV period in rosewood veneer and having the function of a candle holder.
kidney-shaped it is entirely veneered with rosewood (a small lack to report on the top but not very visible). its kidney shape typical of the transition period receives three finely worked brass compartments and two penholders.
the brass receptacles are deep and their edges are finely hemmed.
