Rare fireback, curved, from the 17th century with partly undetermined alliance arms for the husband and a lady from Zievel. This last family based in the Rhineland, in the Eifel, worked through their functions as high dignitaries in the Duchy of Luxembourg and thanks to numerous alliances, in the history of the region, both French and Luxembourgish and Germanic from the 14th century. . Two castles carry the history of the family, first of all around 1300, the castle of Zievel in the Eifel and the castle of Bettembourg, in the south of Luxembourg, of which they were lords. Emblazonment: - At three wild boar heads set 2 and 1, undetermined coat of arms. - Gules fretted argent with a label of azure with three pendants debruising in chief or gules fretted or with a label of azure with three pendants of the same, which is of Zievel or Zevel. The two shields are topped with a helmet and valance, a mascaron fastens two cornucopias at the bottom. Double interlacing with carved bases on a domed frieze frames it. It should be noted a crack in the upper left part. Its weight is 291 kg.
