André Breton, born February 19, 1896 in Tinchebray in the Orne and died September 28, 1966 in Paris 10ᵉ, is a French poet and writer, main animator and theoretician of surrealism. Signed autograph letter, dated June 7, 1931, addressed to René Gaffé (writer, art critic) Very nice letter from André Breton to his friend, who thanked him for his letter. He tells him about a wild sale of objects which also interests Paul Eluard. He also says that he admired Bonet's showcase at the salon des artisans décorateurs, which is the main and, in fact, the only ornament. "A very beautiful exhibition of Dali's works is currently taking place at Pierre Colle. A book of poems by René Char will be published....." Very good condition, written on two out of four pages, sold with its certificate of Expert authenticity.
