"Proa1-signed Autograph Letter-paul Verlaine-poet-[dr Henry Merye]-[jm De Heredia]-1895"
Paul Verlaine was born March 30, 1844 in Metz, and died in Paris January 8, 1896. Writer, poet, short story writer, literary critic and art critic. If his talent and his genius are the basis of his reputation as a great poet, it is above all his relationship with Arthur Rimbeau that will define his reputation as a cursed poet. Note written and signed by Paul Verlaine, June 24, 1895. He gives permission to Mr. Henry Merye, doctor he met during his stays at the Broussais hospital during his last years. He will die six months later, on January 8, 1896. He also authorizes in this post to receive the price of the representation of his article on José Marie de Héridia. Very good condition (stuck on cardboard, bottom right corners slightly torn)
