"First Steps Of Jesus : Alabaster Relief - Mechelen - Flanders"
The First Steps of Jesus

Jesus in the center takes a step while being held on either side by Saint Anne on the right and Mary on the left, both seated on a bench; Jesus, standing on the same bench, holds in his left hand a flower perhaps;
The 3 figures are located under a large tree, which seems to be a palm tree, and in the background is a city.
The scene seems to take place outdoors; there are strong gold highlights throughout.
This relief has in the lower part, a cartouche without inscription.
In its characteristic frame with a large pastilla frieze (in this one: very slight gaps) and with angel heads in the corners.
