With this bouquet of field flowers in soft and pastel colors, Paul Thomas, the specialist in interior scenes, delivers us here a work full of charm.

The painter enriches his still life with delicate work on the motifs. The flowers are superimposed on the pastoral-inspired designs of the toile de jouy, created by renowned painters of the 18th century.
The emblematic and timeless toile de jouy, used in the background, reflects French good taste throughout the world and still inspires the world of fashion and decoration today.
The harmony of colors is fresh and graceful.

Paul Thomas is a painter of interiors, genre scenes, portraits, landscapes, pastellist and sculptor. He was a pupil of Jules Lefebvre and Gustave Boulanger. In 1885, he won the second Grand Prix de Rome and a silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900. In 1887, he married Marie Madeleine Baschet, the couple lived at No. 6 Rue de l'Abbaye.
