The columns of San Lorenzo. The colonnade consists of sixteen columns from the second century AD facing the basilica of San Lorenzo constitute the most important Roman remains in the city.
They were part of a temple (or perhaps a public bathhouse). They were brought here in the 4th century, to form the front side of a quadriporticus.
