High quality miniature on ivory created in the 1820s by the French miniaturist Claire Bergeret, active in the 1820s-1830s. Daughter of the French painter Pierre-Nolasque Bergeret, the artist was a pupil of Isabey in Paris.

Inscription: signed in the middle on the right edge, on the reverse - old inscription in German (see photo).
Technique: gouache on ivory. Original period frame.
Dimensions: unframed 8 x 9 cm, framed 16 x 17 cm.
