Pair of Large Sauce / Cream Spoons - Sterling Silver Coat of Arms under Knight's Helm - Motto: "To each his own cross" - Two Pieces - Length - Lenght: 21.5 cm. / 8.46 in. Sterling silver weight - Massive silver weight: 182 Gr. Master silversmith: Léonard Chatenet Veuve, Cuilleriste, received in 1830 in Paris. These two identical service pieces, with the elegant charm that is the timeless model with fillets, are in excellent condition; the spoons, in a beautiful hollow and harmonious oval, are not worn by time any more than their spatulas. These are engraved, each on the reverse, with coats of arms surmounted by a knight's helmet, bearing on their banner, the motto: "each one his cross". Micro-marks and micro-scratches from use. Superb conditions for these two high quality serving pieces with a beautiful patina. * Note: Three stew spoons modeled, nuanced coat of arms but identical motto, for sale on another ad.
