"Pair Of Gilt Bronze Sconces In Louis XVI Style, 19th Century"
A beautiful and very impressive large pair of French two-light wall appliques, Louis XVI style.
Each with backplate in the form of tasselled drapery swags mounted with entwined oak branches, a ribbon-tied bow-knot and two hornand centrally issuing twoscrolled hunting-horn-form candle arms with fluted drip-pans.
Each wall light is stamped'BM' to the reverse.
With the ribbon-tied in the upper section.
Place of origin- France
Period- late 19th c.
