Object description :

"Library With Corinthian Columns, Buffet Two Glass Bodies In Mahogany, Period XIX"
Very beautiful and rare double body sideboard / bookcase in mahogany and mahogany veneer. English manufacture from the second half of the 19th century. Remarkable work of detached columns surmounted by capitals with Corinthian decorations composed of superimpositions of acanthus leaves. The upper part is glazed, it opens onto a set of three shelves mounted on racks. The bottom is covered with an anise green fabric. The lower part opens onto two compartments separated by a shelf also mounted on a rack. Large belt drawer, lockable. This very beautiful piece of furniture is in good general condition. Traces of use are to be noted as well as some wear (small lack of veneer in particular at the corners of the plinths...), a veneer graft is visible on one of the sides of the upper part (visible on photos), small traces of sunstroke etc... This is an old piece of furniture that has been used a lot, therefore showing classic traces of use for this type of furniture. Furniture sold with all of its keys, the locks work. Useful depth upper part of the cabinet: 25.5cm // lower part: 47cm
