"Revolver - "
"GALAND" system and patent revolver, with open carcass and automatic plate extractor, model 1868, II° EMPIRE. Caliber: 12 mm, 6-shot cylinder, all metal parts polished white. Octagonal barrel bearing hallmarks on the right side "CFG" under crown, for CHARLES FRANCOIS GALAND and the serial number 8173 and under the lower sliding panel the number: 7391. The barrel bears the hallmarks of LIEGE - "ELG" and "Y" under crown and N° 5 . Sliding barrel and cylinder with movement of the plate for ejection of empty cases. Bridge rests fingers with locking block carrying N° 5 on the right side. Plate in smooth walnut, cap with ring of dragone. Mechanism in single and double action in working order and with a very clear catch. Inside of the barrel clean with good scratches. Superficial trace of oxidation of the fingers in places, see the photos.
