"Commode Louis XIV Stamped Carel (1688 -1755)"
Rare Louis XIV chest of drawers signed Carel in kingwood veneer, opening with four drawers in three rows, fluted brass upright. Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes, period Royal red marble top. Jacques_Philippe Carel (1688 - 1755) cabinetmaker received Master in 1723. He worked for the Garde-Meuble Royal, delivered furniture to the Marquise De Pompadour as well as to the Château De Versailles.
