"Regency Style Armchair"
Important Regency style armchair in carved walnut. High and wide flat back slightly inclined. Moving armrests and armrest supports. Scalloped belt on all sides, arched feet ending in hooves, X-shaped spacer. Finely carved decoration: shells, braces, scrolls, acanthus leaves and foliage. Circa 1900. Petit point tapestry decorated with a deity in a chariot, birds and dragon, floral motifs. Seat height 47 cm, backrest 111 cm, width 70 cm, seat depth 57 cm. Worn back velvet backrest.
