French Empire Mahogany Chest Of Drawers Or Commode - Ormolu Bronzes Attributed To Ravrio 130cm

Large French antique chest of drawers / commode, mahogany veneered, Empire period. France circa 1815, it opens with 4 drawers. Our chest of drawers is a superior quality piece with a beautiful Cuban flamed mahogany, round pilasters, a thick grey marble top, finely chiseled ormolu decoration (matt and shiny).

Our chest of drawers is interesting for its beautiful Empire period bronze trim, attributed to Ravrio. We are offering for sale a Ravrio clock featuring the same Indian mask as those in the center of the handles.

Our chest of drawers was completely restored; the varnish was redone as new by our cabinetmaker. The piecet is in excellent condition. 2 Indian masks redone afterwards (identical, but a little less fine carving).

Our commode is presented with matching furnitures : a pair of Jacob seats (Tuileries and Fontainebleau castle, Ravrio clock, Galle candlesticks, large print showing the coronation of Napoleon. All those items available for sale on our website www.gslr-antiques.com
