"18th Earthenware Basin (louis XIV Period) From Lille Or Rouen With Blue Camaieu Decoration"
Basin (former bidet) in earthenware from Lille (north of France) or rouen (Normandy),
early 18th century (french kings Louis XIV / early Louis XV period),
decorated in blue camaieu with a frieze of lambrequins and foliage,
with a chinese border on the upper part;
location of the tap in relief, pewter (missing part of the tap).
Good general condition. Note: 2 thin original fels from the installation of the tap, and a firing fel smaller in area inside at the edge of the tap hole. A chip (very well glued, old and hardly visible) on the upper edge.
