Charming Toupie Vase By Paul Nicolas Cristallerie De Saint Louis Art Verrier

Created for the Cristallerie de Saint-Louis by the famous master glassmaker Paul Nicolas, who was, before settling on his own, a close collaborator of Emile Gallé, this charming spinning top vase in blown and hot-shaped crystal has everything him: its beautiful spinning top shape, its purple marbled interlayer decoration on an opaline background and its two small opalescent handles glued hot on either side. Well referenced in the book published by the Museum of the School of Nancy dedicated to the master glassmaker (see last photo). Signed hollow "Art verrier St L" under the heel. Height: about 8 cm Diameter: about 13.5 cm Very good condition. Beautiful shine of the material and delicacy of the colors.
